RagNa Love Stories: Ragna SS: Haunted House (A house with many secrets) Chapter 12

"Raghav, I'll also come with you...I won't be able to stay here and will be tensed about Sonia..." I insisted.

"No Kalpi...You're feeling very weak now and I don't want you to take any stress now...You stay at home...I and Rajesh will be going to search for Sonia...I'll be locking the house from outside so that you remain safe here and you too close the bedroom door and windows...You were hit by a person and now Sonia also is missing...It seems to be all strange...You keep this phone with you and call me if you find anything suspicious..." Raghav kissed me on my forehead and said "I love you..."

"Take care of yourself...Please be careful." I said while kissing his hand.

"Don't worry love...Rajesh is with me and I'll be calling the police as well...I'll be fine."

"I hope Sonia is safe."

"I hope so too..." Raghav said while caressing my face.

He and Rajesh left to search for Sonia.

I tried to rest but the tension kept increasing thinking where Sonia could be? What if something happens to Raghav as he too has gone in that jungle where that monster was. I'm sure that monster attacked me and now what if he does something to Raghav? OMG! What if that person was Sonia? That monster was dragging a body...Oh shit! It was Sonia? No. I need to tell Raghav asap.

I rushed towards the door and noticed that it was locked from inside. I hit my head thinking that Raghav had told me that he will be locking the house from outside.

I went to my room and tried calling Raghav. "Pick up the phone Raghav. Please...I need to tell you what I had seen in that jungle...Please pick up the phone."

Finally after trying 5 times, Raghav picked up the phone and answered "Kalpi, what happened? You're safe?"

"Yes Raghav. Nothing happened to me..."

"Thank God...I saw so many missed calls and got a bad feeling..."

"Raghav, you got any clue about Sonia?"

"No Kalpi. I called up the police and they are searching for her...They found her phone in the jungle...I just hope and pray that she is fine. Her mom is crying a lot and feels that something has happened to her daughter while Rajesh uncle too is not able to handle himself. Can't see him so weak."

"I can truly understand their state Raghav. Sonia is their only child and she's been missing since so many hours...I phoned you to tell you that..."

"Kalpi, what happened? I can't hear you now..."

"Raghav, listen..I want to tell you something about So..."

Raghav cut my statement and said "I'll call you back later Kalpi...I can't hear you now...Take care of yourself..."

"Damn...I couldn't even tell Raghav anything...What should I do now?" I cursed myself.

I noticed a window which was open in the other room and I opened it completely and jumped down from the window since the height was short.

I walked inside the jungle and tried to remember the path I followed yesterday. After 20 minutes, I could hear few voices and on approaching the spot, I noticed Sonia's mother crying loudly and Rajesh consoling her. Raghav was standing besides the tree holding his mouth and crying silently.

I noticed a body covered with a white cloth on the floor which was soaking in blood and the police officers discussing among themselves.

I went near Raghav and placed my hand on his shoulder. He looked up and hugged me tightly. "Kalpi,....Kalpi...Sonia is...Sonia is dead..."

I felt helpless at that moment and tears kept rolling down my cheeks. I couldn't imagine what Sonia must have experienced yesterday. That monster finished her completely.

I wish I could help her but now there was no use of regretting. She's gone and now she'll never come back. She was like a sister to me and the pain was unbearable.

The police started collecting samples from the nearby area.

"Mr. Singhania, this girl was attacked by a carnivorous animal. We have to investigate this matter yet and one cannot say if it was a bear or a fox as people earlier have reported that they have seen these animals here. Looking at the state of the body, her body was bitten cruelly and the animal has eaten her complete hand and toes as well."

Hearing this, I rushed to another corner and started puking. Raghav tried to help me and he made me sit on the ground as I was about to faint.

I was feeling quite dizzy and I came back to consciousness on hearing Sonia's mother's words. "I told Sonia not to come to this cursed house...She dint listen to me and see what happened...This is all because of Raghav and his father's sins that my daughter lost her life...That monster's soul hasn't left this place and is still killing people...Officer, this was not done by an animal...It's Vikram Singhania who has done this...I'm sure he has done this...He was a cannibal and it's him..."

"Mam, the law doesn't believe in souls or stories. This is just an animal attack and nothing else." Saying this, the officers took the body for a postmortem and the evidences as well.

I kept thinking all day about Sonia and that monster. "He seemed to be a person and not an animal. But could he be Vikram Singhania or somebody else. He left from our house and I myself saw him. I should have told the police and Raghav about it but would they believe me? How could I explain to them that the person had the same outfit as Vikram? They would say the same thing to me as well as they disregarded Sonia's mother. I need to find out who is that person and till I don't have any proof, I won't tell Raghav anything."

The same night...

I dint get sleep for an hour and kept rolling from one side to the other side. I felt it was the right time to check the out house for any evidence.

I opened the door of the out house and tried to switch on the lights but none of the switches worked. I used the torch to continue my search and I checked the same cupboard where I had seen Vikram's pictures.

I found the photo album and noticed that it was the same outfit as that monster had worn that day. I kept thinking that how can a dead person come alive? Were those people telling the truth that this place is haunted? The sounds they keep hearing are all true? Means I was following a dead person yesterday? The curse of those salves is still haunting this place? That's why from the day I entered this house, I have always felt as if somebody is watching me and Raghav?
