RagNa Love Stories: Ragna SS: Haunted House (A house with many secrets) Chapter 13

I took the pictures and kept them in my bag and left the room. While leaving, I noticed Rajesh walking in the mansion and his behavior appeared suspicious.

I followed him slowly inside the house and noticed him approaching the kitchen. I peeped from outside and was astonished to see him cutting a live animal. He caught the mouth of the dog to prevent it from barking and cut his neck.

That sight was unforgettable and I could never imagine Rajesh doing this. He was cutting the pieces of the dog and after he was done, he washed the knife and his hands as well.

Watching this, I remembered the day when I had seen blood on the knife and that day as well it must be Rajesh who must be cutting animals in the kitchen. This man was beyond my imagination.

I noticed him turning backwards and I hid behind the wall. He walked out of the kitchen holding a tray covered with a red cloth and he went upstairs.

I followed Rajesh and I was shocked to see him opening the room which was locked for years. It was the same room where Raghav's mom was killed by her husband. The same room that I was warned not to enter by Rajesh himself and today he is entering the same room. Why? And whom is he serving the meal in that room? So many questions but still I wasn't able to get a single response. The suspense was killing me inside.

I hid behind the door when Rajesh came outside and he locked the door with a lock. the tray wasn't in his hand and he left from there.

I slowly approached the door and tried to hear if there is anyone inside. I could hear some growling noises and munching noises. It was clear that the person was feeding on the body of that dog. This was terrible for me to hear and see and I couldn't believe that a person can be so cruel and a cannibal.

I tried to gain courage and I tried to hear anything else. I heard a sound of the tray being placed down and few foot steps.

"Now it feels better. Animal meat is good in taste but nothing in comparison with human meat." I heard these words and closed my mouth as I could remember how this monster was feeding on Sonia's body the previous night.

"This Rajesh cannot even give me proper food and he keeps making me stay in this dark room. For so many years, he has kept me like a prisoner here and yesterday when I managed to escape, he made me unconscious and brought me back here. He is jerk. I cannot even go out and find a prey and I, Vikram Singhania, has to eat these animals to satisfy my hunger."

I could not believe what I heard. Vikram Singhania is alive? He is staying for the past 22 years in this room? Rajesh made him a prisoner here? But why? Why did he let Vikram kill his own child? What's wrong with him? Why dint he tell Raghav the truth? I kept asking myself so many questions and my head started spinning because this truth was killing me from inside.

The foot steps started approaching the door and the man was trying to bang the door to open it. I noticed Rajesh walking up towards the room and so I hid behind the door as he entered the room. I thought that it was better to leave from there as it was already 3:00 a.m.

My doubt was turning out to be true and I dint know how to tell this truth to Raghav but I had to tell him as it was the time for him to know the truth about his dad.

The next morning, I woke up and noticed Raghav was taking a shower. I took out his shirt and pant form the cupboard and kept it on the bed.

I kept thinking about what I had witnessed the earlier night and I kept the clothes on the table and started ironing them.

After few moments, I noticed a hand on my waist and I looked behind to see Raghav standing besides me.

"You're planning to make me go shirtless to the office?"

I did not understand what he just said and he kissed me on my cheek and held the shirt in his hand. I was shocked to see the shirt was almost burnt and had a big hole in the center. I was lost in my thoughts and I dint realize that the iron was in my hand.

I said apologetically "I'm sorry Rag..." He placed his finger on my lips and whispered "Shhh...! Don't say sorry. I can understand what you are going through currently...Look at me Kalpi." I looked into his eyes and noticed the love for me in them.

I hugged him tightly and closed my eyes as tears started rolling down my cheeks. "What happened? why are you crying Kalpi? Please say something..."

"Raghav...I saw somebody that day...I saw a person entering the jungle that day...It was a person from this house Raghav..."

"He had worn a black jacket and gloves and he..." Raghav cut my statement and said "Whom are you talking about Kalpi? Whom did you see and when?"

"That day when Sonia was murdered...I saw a person dragging her body and ..."

"You saw Sonia that day? And you still dint tell me...Why?"

"I dint know it was Sonia Raghav...I just saw a man dragging a body and then eating it...That scene was horrifying and...I dint know whether you'll believe me or not...But that day..." I gulped down as those words weren't coming out from my mouth. "That day...I saw your dad in the jungle..."

Raghav stood dumbstruck before me and kept hearing me. I told him whatever I had seen that night and yesterday night as well.

After few moments, Raghav got up from the bed and dragged my hand while taking me outside the room. I dint understand what he was doing and he kept making me walk downstairs and called out for Rajesh.

I stared at Raghav and then at Rajesh who rushed from his room and stood in front of Raghav.

"Look at this man Kalpi...He just lost his daughter...His only child...Why do you think he will do such a thing? He will make my da...Mr. Vikram Sighania to stay here? After knowing that he killed my mother?" Raghav held my hands and said "Why do you think he will do this Kalpi? He is like a father figure to me...There's nobody else in this world who I can trust more than him...When I was just 6 years old, this man looked after me...gave me food to eat...Made me study...Gave me all the love that his own daughter and wife deserved...He decided to serve me rather than his own family...He sacrificed everything for me Kalpi...Why will he do this?"
