Rajesh lowered his eyes and tears kept falling from his eyes as Raghav kept talking to me. "He will never ever do anything wrong Kalpi? It's sure your misunderstanding...I'm shocked that you too believe that there is a curse on this house...Just like those people keep saying that this house is haunted...Do you really think that this house is cursed Kalpi?"

I held his hand and said "I'm sorry Raghav...If I had not seen Rajesh serving your dad yesterday, I wouldn't have claimed..."

"Stop calling him my dad Kalpi..." Raghav screamed and left my hand. He pointed his finger in anger towards me and said firmly "He isn't my dad. He is just my mom's murderer...He killed her and now he's dead...You got it? He is dead." I saw the anger and frustration in Raghav's eyes and his eyes turned bright red. I had hurt him a lot.

"In any case, the police has confirmed that Sonia was attacked by an animal...Rajesh told me this yesterday itself..." Rajesh looked at Raghav and nodded his head. I stared at Rajesh and pleaded him to tell the truth but he ignored my gesture.

Raghav was adamant to hear anything and he left for office and I kept thinking in my room as there was nobody here who could trust me or believe me. Rajesh too was keeping mum on this issue.

A week passed by...

I started puking often and my health was deteriorating. On the other hand, the truth of a cannibal residing in the mansion was killing me. Raghav stayed at home for 3 days to look after me but that day, he went to office to attend an important meeting.

I wasn't able to convince Raghav to open that room nor was Rajesh interested in sharing the truth with me. It was getting unbearable for me to keep these secrets within myself and hence I decided to confront Rajesh that day.

I went to Rajesh's room and noticed him holding his daughter's photograph in his hand. He wiped his tears and noticed me standing besides the door and he hid the photograph under his pillow.

I asked softly "Uncle, why are you silent? Why are you helping Vikram?"

Rajesh looked at me apologetically and said "You shouldn't get into this...It will ruin you own life...I only advise you to leave this cursed house and go...Whoever stays here, dies...I lost my daughter already and don't want anything wrong to happen to you...Raghav baba loves you a lot and if anything happens to you, he will die...I and Raghav baba are already under this curse...I don't want you also to be harmed...Please leave..."

"What will happen to me? why aren't you telling me the truth uncle? Sonia is gone...Do you want anything to happen to Raghav as well?"

Hearing this Rajesh got up and said "No...Nothing will happen to him...I won't let anything happen to him...Till I'm alive, I will protect him from the curse and that's why I am here...Nothing will happen to him...Vikram won't harm him...You go away from here...Leave this house and go away..." Saying this, he approached the door and closed the door on my face.

I couldn't get anything. Rajesh is protecting Raghav by feeding Vikram? Why is he letting that monster live here? Why is he not telling Raghav the truth about his father? I can't believe that for so many years, Raghav has never got to know about his father's existence.

I went to my room and fell asleep. I woke up with a noise and noticed that I had been sleeping for almost 5 hours. It was 5:00 p.m. and Raghav hadn't returned home till now.

I went towards the window pane and noticed Rajesh digging the ground. He looked nervous and kept looking around and he also looked up at my window pane. I hid behind the curtain and started peeping slowly to see what he was trying to hide.

Rajesh kept digging and digging and then he left from there. I wondered what is he up to.

He came back after 10 minutes with a sack and put in in the area he had dug up. the sack was covered with blood and Rajesh kept throwing mud over it. I was sure that it must be another animal he fed that monster but when I saw few fingers sticking out of the sack, reality hit me hard and I couldn't imagine that it was a human being who was a meal of that monster.

I couldn't bare that Rajesh is keeping quiet and this silence is killing so many human beings. I just hated him for this.

I din't know whom to talk to about this and share my sadness with. My phone buzzed and I noticed Prem's number flashing on the screen.

His phone came at the right time and he was a savior for me or I can say that it was because of him that I got to know the truth. The truth which made my life miserable.

I told Prem everything and he was also quite disturbed after getting to know about Sonia's death. Getting to know about Vikram, Prem decided to help me out and he proved to be a real brother to me.

We decided to reveal the truth to Raghav together but fot that it was necessary for me to pretend to be away from the house for few days.

I made an excuse before Raghav that I need to stay with my aunt as she isn't feeling quite well. Raghav told me to look after myself as well as I also had been unwell since few days.

I had to leave the house so that Rajesh would be carefree and would serve Vikram without any fear of my following him. I had to get into that room and reveal Vikram's truth to Raghav.

A day passed by...

It was 11:00 p.m. and I and Prem decided to enter the mansion from the main door as I had the keys with me.

I entered the mansion and it was silent and dark. Prem was getting very scared to open the door and I caught his hand, giving him the courage to face the worst.

We waited for about 3 hours in the basement and my patience started giving way as I wasn't even sure if Rajesh has already served Vikram or not.

"Are you sure that the person is present in the house now?" Prem whispered and I nodded in an approval.

I placed my hand on his shoulder and said "I know Prem that this will not be easy for us...That man is a monster and Raghav needs to know the truth about his father...That man deserved to be in jail and not here...But Raghav is not believing me and except you, there was nobody who could believe me..."

"I'm always with you Kalpi...I first only had a doubt on Rajesh...He din't seem trustworthy...Can't imagine he is so cruel to help that cannibal...After losing his own daughter, he is still now telling Raghav about this..."
