Kalpana's POV:

Six weeks pass by and Raghav hasn't spoken to me till now. Whenever I go next to him, he speaks to me via the maid whether it's to give me my breakfast, lunch or dinner and avoids looking into my eyes. May be he's afraid of his feelings for me, or may be he is just upset with my lies, or may be he doesn't want to talk to me at all. I'm scared of the third reason being true but my heart says he does want to talk to me as he loves me. May be I'm expecting a little too much but I'm happy thinking he does love me. I am too scared to think about our future.

"Kalpana, don't be so scared of this relationship. You are in Raghav's life today and that's what you wanted. You wanted him." An inner voice says and Kalpana wipes her tears.

Raghav's POV:

I don't know what I'm feeling right now. Feeling a bit restless. Can't even concentrate on my work. Have so many pending files to check but I just can't. (Throws the file on the chair in anger)

Has she taken her medicine today? Don't know. I need to call up Shyam and ask him to remind her to take those tablets. Her operation is there in 2 days and she is not taking care of her health. I just wish I could be with her. But I can't as she doesn't want me to know anything else she wouldn't have lied to me.

My heart says to talk to her, to be with her as she's unwell...But my minds says NO. If you be with her, she may misunderstand your concern as your feelings for her. That day when I was concerned about her and angry at her for lying, she said that I amd feeling for her emotionally. But that's not true. Yes, I am concerned for her as she stays with me and is my responsibility. I can never feel for any person in my life and don't want Kalpana to feel the same pain as my mom. I don't want to be attached to her and if she keeps expecting from me, it will be bad for her. She needs to understand that love doesn't exist today. It's just a fantasy that comes to and end soon. But how can I explain her these things. She doesn't even know my past and I don't want her to know. Sometimes I feel like ending all this but next moment I fear that I'll lose her. Am I forgetting my own rules? No..That can never happen. I have a stone heart and me feeling for someone is impossible.

Two days later...

Kalpana's POV:

Today is the day when I have to undergo this operation...But Raghav is not here. When I need him the most, I need his support, he is not with me. Why so much anger Raghav? I know I lied to you but that was because I dint want you to pay for me expenses. I wanted to earn it on my own. May be it's my mistake only. Just want him near me now. Just a glimse. Please God!

"Kalpi...I'm here with you. Don't be scared. I know whom are you waiting for but..." Priya says and stops when Kalpana starts feeling dizzy as the nurse gives her an injection. She is taken to the operation theater and Priya watches her and prays for her.

Raghav completes his meeting and leaves for the hospital. One his way to the hopsital, he keeps checking his watch and increases the speed of the car. "It's already so late. The operation must have started by now and I'm still away. IF the meeting wasn't an emergeny, I would have cancelled it but because of Sammy's absence, I had to complete it. Hope Priya is there besides Kalpana else she will feel so lonely."

After 30 minutes, Raghav arrives at the hospital and rushes to the second floor. He notices Priya waiting outside and calls the nurses who leaves the operation theater to update him on Kalpana's surgery. She informs him that the operation is a success and Kalpana should gain consciousness in 4-5 hours. He then asks her about the bill and she says that Kalpana has already paid it.

Raghav's POV:

I'm happy that she's safe now. She must be really weak now. Should I see her now or afterwards? I just want to see her once and then I'll leave. Don't want to disturb her.

As Raghav turns to leave, Priya calls him out to stop him. He turns and she approaches him saying "You're leaving without meeting Kalpi? She wanted to see you before going for the surgery." Raghav looks at her and nods his head and waits outside the room.

Kalpana wakes up but feels too weak to talk. The doctor tells Raghav that he can meet her now. He goes in and watches Kalpana wearing an oxygen mask as she was experiencing a difficulty in breathing. She looks at him and her eyes look dry. A smile trickles on her face and she moves her fingers to tell Raghav to sit next to her.

Raghav comes closer and takes a seat besides Kalpana. She tries to talk to him but he signals her to be silent. "You're not allowed to talk. Rest. I'll ask the doctor when you'll get discharged." He gets up to leave and Kalpana holds his hand, nodding her head in a refusal. He turns back and releases her hand saying "I'll just be back."

"I'm so happy that he has come here to see me. This means that he isn't angry with me. He is trying to avoid accepting his feelings but sooner or later he will have to accept it. Thanks God. Thank you very much."

A month passes by and Kalpana recovers completely.

2:00 a.m. at night: Kalpana wakes up when Raghav's hand touches her stomach. She looks at him sleeping like a baby next to her and smiles as she watches him cuddling her tightly. She moves near and gives him a peck on his lips whispering in her ear "I love you."

The next morning Kalpana gets a call. Her mother calls her that they are being forced to leave their house as Kalpana's sister Kajal slapped a boy from her class who was the son of the head of the panchayat. The entire village had voted against them to leave that village else they would burn them alive. Hearing this, the mobile falls from Kalpana's hands and Raghav asks her in a concerned tone as to what had happened.
