Kalpana places her head on his shoulder and expresses her love and gratitude for Raghav. She holds him tight and cuddles him like a baby.

He caresses her back making her feel special and giving her the utmost care and love. He cups her face in his hand and kisses her forehead whispering “I love you Kalpi. You don’t know what you mean to me. My life, my world revolves around you and you make me feel alive and special.”

Tears drip down from Kalpi’s eyes when she hears this. The rainfall stops and realization soon hits her when she hears footsteps approaching her.

Kalpana breaks the hug and stares at Raghav thinking what just happened between them and why did she let her emotions win over her mind.

Raghav does not understand the sudden change in Kalpana and catches her hand asking “What happened?”

Kalpana released her hand from his grip and says “Leave me. Don’t come near me.”

Kalpana holds her ears as the words of Raghav and her aunt Payal start echoing in her mind “Raghav Singhania has made the Kapoors’ bankrupt. Raghav Singhania broke down the Kapoor Mansion to build a hotel. Singhania IT firm is owned by Raghav Singhania…” These words start killing her from inside.

Kalpana starts screaming his name as she keeps accusing herself “How could you forget that Raghav destroyed your family? How could you hug a person who has left you and your family, your dad, your brother and you (who he has claimed to love the most), he hasn’t cared for your feelings ever and today you are confessing your feelings for him? Why Kalpi? Why are you still trusting and loving a person who hates you?”

Kalpana kneels down on the ground and cries her heart out. She holds her head and wants the pain she is feeling to vanish but it keeps increasing.

Raghav kneels down besides Kalpana and holds her shoulders telling her to stop crying and trying to console here but she pushes his hand and Raghav’s hand hits the ground because of which he gets hurt with a pebble.

“You don’t try to touch me Raghav. I can never forget what you have done to my family. Never ever.” Kalpana starts screaming.

She gets up and walks out of the dhaba and Raghav follows her outside.

Raghav holds her hand as Kalpana rushes outside and he makes her stand near his car saying “What happened to you suddenly? I love you Kalpi and have always loved you. Please try to understand me. You dint even understand me 5 years back when I tried to explain to you my problem and now also…”

“Just leave me Raghav. Let me go. I just don’t want to hear anything now. What happened 5 years back was your and your dad’s mistake and not my family’s mistake. Don’t try to put the blame on us. I had told you that time as well and now again I am telling you the same. My brother and father can never commit such a heinous crime. I can never believe that.”

Raghav holds Kalpana’s hand firmly and drags her to face him. “So what do you mean Kalpi? It was my dad who committed that crime? A school master who never ever took bribe, always believed in his principles, never even asked his students for any gifts, always helped his and always spoke the truth can commit such a crime?”

“I don’t know anything and don’t want to know. The police, court, the victim’s parents and the witnesses accepted that it was your dad who was involved in the crime. Not my brother.” Kalpana says firmly as her eyes turn lifeless.

“They all were bribed Kalpi. My dad did nothing wrong. Your dad gave them so much money that they were forced to support your brother. Just because my dad and I dint have money to fight the case and prove him innocent, we lost that case. My dad never did anything wrong Kalpi, nothing.”

“Your dad did wrong and what your dad did can never be forgiven. Your dad raped that small child of just 12 years. How can you support this crime? Just because he is your dad?” Kalpana cries out and speaks without lowering her eyes.
