Raghav said “No love. My wound is not paining at all as you are beside me. But I will get hurt if you keep crying like this. Please stop love. I can’t see tears in your eyes. I hate tears.”

Kalpana started laughing as she thought of Rajesh Khanna’s dialogue and said “You started using filmy dialogues?”

Raghav said “At least I managed to bring a smile on your face.”

Kalpana said “And that’s why I love you so much. My happiness lies with you only.” She held his hand and kissed it saying “I wish this love never fades and with each second, it keeps increasing.”

Raghav said to himself “I always want you to be happy Kalpana and don’t want to lose you. I know that you love your family a lot but when you will get to know that your dad wants to separate us, I can’t imagine what you will feel. May be there will come a day when you will have to choose between us but I hope that day does not come and you always get what you want whether I am with you or not. I don’t want to make it difficult for you to choose and so if it means that I leave your life so that you can be happy with your family, I will do that to. I don’t want a daughter to be separated from her father and brother for my sake. I will always love you Kalpi. Always.”

Raghav’s trance breaks when the doctors says “I have stitched your wounds. Your wound was quite deep as the animal has ripped your skin off causing deep injuries due to which a part of your hand does not have any flesh. Only plastic surgery will help you in this case. I have stitched the skin of your wrist which will give you some relief. You will need to rest for about an hour now as you have lost a lot of blood.”

Kalpana starts weeping on hearing this and thinks “Why did Raghav have to take such a big risk of his life for my sake? The leopard would have killed him. I can’t understand his love for me. He sometimes shows so much concern for me and then hurts me and my family. What does he want and why is he doing this?”

Kalpana keeps waiting in the hospital and waits till Raghav gains consciousness.

Her phone buzzes and she picks up the call. “What happened Kalpana? Where are you? You said you’ll come back soon and till now you have not reached?”

“Aunty, actually there was a problem here and…”

“Kalpana, what are you saying? I can’t hear anything. Speak louder.”

“Aunty, I am in the hospital and…”

“Kalpana you’re in the hospital? What happened?”

“Actually I am fine but my boss is not. He got hurt…”

Payal cuts her saying “OK OK. Your boss is hurt. Anyways Kalpana, you take care of yourself. My phone balance is less and hence I am disconnecting this call. Will call you back later.”

Kalpana says to herself “Aunty, does not even want to know about the trouble I faced….Am I thinking a lot about it? I dint get hurt because Raghav saved me but how will aunty imagine that I was in such a big threat some time back? I’m just over thinking and I know that aunty loves me and dad as well. They also are suffering in the chawl and I can understand what they must be going through.”

After an hour, Raghav gets discharged from the hospital.

He goes to sit in the driver’s seat while Kalpana holds his hand saying “I’ll drive. Your hand is hurt and it will be tough for you to drive now.”

Raghav does not say anything and sits in the passengers’ seat while Kalpana drives the car.

He keeps watching her as her eyes are focused on the road ahead. While driving Kalpana avoids looking at Raghav trying to hide her feelings.
