RagNa Love Stories: RagNa SS: Anyone can fall in love anytime Chapter 7

During these 4 years, a lot has changed in the lives of both Raghav and Kalpana.

Kalpana has developed an interest in drawing and she wishes to become a fashion designer and take up a course after she completes her higher studies.

Raghav, on the other hand, has developed an interest in clicking photographs and so he keeps buying new cameras and clicking pictures of every festival celebrated in the village, concerts, scenery and his bets friend Kalpana. He clicks her pictures whenever she is unaware and keeps capturing each moment they spend together.

Last year, Vikram Singhania and the panchayat members manage to get the permission to build a college in the village and the village people get together and start the construction work which takes a year to get completed. Each person makes a contribution in the making of the college and Vikram being the richest person in the village contributes 70% of the money.

The school vacation days have started. The village members decide to celebrate the opening ceremony of the college and make Vikram the guest of honor to cut the ribbon. Pramod gets upset with the decision as it was his idea to start the college in the village while Vikram gets all the importance and praise just because he has made a huge contribution.

Today is Sunday and Vikram and Sunaina plan to visit Pramod's house (Prem's father) as his brother, Prateek, is going to visit the village today and spend some days with him. His brother is coming from Delhi with his wife Priya and daughter Suhana. Pramod has invited Vikram and his family to convince Vikram to make him the HOD of the college.

(Suhana is a 15 year old girl who is bubbly, stubborn and mischievous and loves getting everything she wants in her life and does not take a no for anything)

Kalpana insists Sunaina to accompany them but Sunaina refuses as it is already late in the evening and the time is 7:00 p.m. She tells her to stay at home with Raghav but Kalpana keeps asking for permission and Sunaina finally lets her accompany them. Kalpana sits in the car and they all leave from there to visit Pramod.

Kalpana forgets to inform Raghav who was busy on his laptop browsing photographs when she went to his room to ask him to come with her and he told her to sit on the bed till he finishes his work and talks to her but she being Kalpana who never waits for anyone runs out of the room and approaches Sunaina.

After 40 minutes, Raghav completes his work on the laptop and then looks behind to talk to Kalpana but finds that she has just disappeared somewhere. He searches for Kalpana in her room but finds all her things in a mess as usual and calls out for the maid to clean up her room. He goes to the terrace and finds nobody there. He checks in the kitchen where Kalpana usually is found eating some biscuits or sweets but does not find her anywhere. He asks the maid whether she has seen Kalpana to which the maid replies that she saw her the last time in Raghav's room.

Raghav searches for Kalpana in the whole house but does nor find her to be anywhere. He goes outside the house and asks the village people whether they have seen Kalpana but nobody has any clue about her as it is late in the evening and the villagers do not go outside their house after 8:00 p.m. as it is dark and the shops too shut down at 8:00 p.m. Only the hospital and few medical shops remain open all night for emergency cases.

Raghav takes his bike (which Vikram has gifted him on his 15th Birthday) and goes in search of Kalpana.

Kalpana, Vikram and Sunaina reach Pramod's house and welcome his brother's family. Vikram, Pramod and Prateek sits in the garden area of their house and tell the children to go to Prem's room and play while Sunaina and Priya decide to prepare dinner.

Suhana makes friends with Kalpana from the start and she tells her about her school in Delhi and the facilities they get there. Kalpana finds a good friend in Suhana but feels a bit upset as Suhana shows her an iPhone which Kalpana requests to touch but Suhana does not let her touch the phone. Kalpana thinks in her mind "This Suhana is exactly like Prem, a rich brat. Huh! Even I'll ask Vikram dad for a phone but I don't know if he will let me to have one as till now Raghav also does not own a mobile phone"

Prem keeps getting irritated with the girl's talks and tells them to play a game on his x-box. Kalpana sits on the bed along with Suhana and Prem notices that. He tells Kalpana to get up and sit on the floor as her dress will make his bed dirty. Kalpana does not listen and keeps chatting with Suhana. Prem comes next to her and holds her by her hand to get up and Kalpana pushes him away and the x-box from his hand falls on the ground and breaks. Suhana sees this and starts laughing.

Hearing the noise, Vikram and Pramod enter Prem's room and Prem tells his dad that Kalpana broke his new x-box. Kalpana defends herself and tells Vikram dad that Prem was telling her to sit on the floor. Pramod looks at Vikram and to not make things worse tells Prem to say sorry to Kalpana. Prem looks surprised at his dad's words but then Pramod caresses his head and says like a nice boy say sorry to Kalpana as she is younger to you. Prem then understands the purpose for which his dad is telling him to be nice with Kalpana and apologizes to her and Kalpana forgives him for that but refuses to say sorry for breaking his x-box as it was not done on purpose.

Raghav spends almost an hour searching Kalpana everywhere in the village and visits all the spots where Kalpana usually goes but still he does not find her. Suddenly he remembers Sunaina telling him early this morning that they would be going to Prem's house as his family members are coming from Delhi to stay with them. He hits his head thinking that why he could not remember this all this while and Kalpana would only be with Sunaina at this time.

Raghav leaves from the spot and drives off to Prem's house.

It's 9:30 p.m. and Priya and Sunaina serve dinner. Sunaina calls up home to find out if Raghav has had the food she had kept for him in the fridge and the maid informs her that Raghav has left the house in search of Kalpana. She gets scared to know that Raghav has left the house at this time of the night and wonders if he would be fine or not and Raghav does not even have a mobile where he could be contacted at.

Sunaina thinks of waiting for sometime till the guests finish having dinner and then informing Vikram about Raghav.

Raghav reaches Prem's house at 10:00 p.m. and rushes inside to meet Kalpana.

Suhana looks at Raghav and is quite impressed with him. She looks at his face and his light green eyes thinking that they are so deep and passionate, his fair skin and his well toned body. She looks at his hair which is dark brown and wishes she could touch them and feel his silky soft hair, she looks at his blue denim jacket and white t-shirt which had a low neck and she notices the sweat on his chest and she admires his biceps. Her eyes then fall on his denim jeans and she notices the jeans are not ironed properly but still she finds him looking super hot in it and looks at his shoes whose laces are untied.

Raghav calls out for Kalpana and Suhana is awe struck by his voice, his masculine voice which was like music to her ears. She felt that he looked exactly like a Hollywood actor and was the most handsome guy she had ever seen in her life.

Raghav comes in and hugs her asking if she is fine. All the guests and Vikram look stunned at Raghav's behavior but his eyes, heart and mind only want to know if Kalpana was fine. Vikram tells Raghav to cool down and have dinner with them.

Suhana keeps checking him from tip-to-toe and keeps holding the spoon with rice in it in her hand. Priya (her mother) notices this and thinks "Again this girl is lost in her dream world." and she taps her on the back to eat her food instead of checking out Raghav.

On their way back home, Raghav keeps holding Kalpana's hand in his hand to ensure she does not again go away.

Kalpana whispers in Raghav's ear: Leave me hand. Your grip is too hard.

Raghav says softly: I know if I leave your hand , you'll again run away but this time I'll take you straight to your room.

Kalpana: I promise Raghav, I won't run but leave my hand.

Raghav: I'll leave your hand now but if you again disappear like today, then I...

Kalpana: I what?

Raghav: I will... leave it. I won't let you next time go out of my site as tomorrow itself I will tell dad to gift you a mobile phone.

Kalpana: What a mobile phone? Really? Oh! I love you Raghav so much. I was today only wishing that I get a new mobile phone and today only you told me that you will get me one. I know Vikram dad will listen to you.

Kalpana hugs Raghav and thanks him and gives him a peck on his cheek in excitement and thinks that she did a mistake and says sorry and runs away.

Kalpana goes to her room thinking that why she kissed Raghav on his cheek? Why did she do this? What must Raghav be thinking of her?

Raghav still shocked with the reaction of Kalpana keeps thinking that she is still childish but cute.

After few days, Gokulashtami celebrations start in the village and all the children gather at Vikram's residence decide that Raghav should be Krishna and Kalpana should be his Radha. Suhana too reaches Raghav's house and grabs his hand saying "I will be his Radha this time. We both look awesome as Radha and Krishna."

All the children get shocked to see Suhana being so bold and holding his hand even without knowing him. Raghav frees Suhana's hand from his arms and asks her as to who she is!

Prem comes in and says: Suhana is my cousin sister. Yesterday when you came to my house, you did not have the time to even interact with my uncle and my cousin for whatever reason.

Raghav: She is your cousin sister so what is she doing here? This is our village celebration and outsiders cannot take part.

Prem: And who are you to decide this? Just because your dad is the sarpanch, you don't think that you have a right to take all decisions on his behalf. My dad also in the panchayat and he has said that this time Suhana also will take part in the celebrations.

Raghav: If she is participating then I am surely not going to be her Krishna.

Prem laughs and says: Why? You want to participate only with your so called wife or what? Joru ka ghulam.

Raghav: Just stop it Prem. I am in no mood to participate this time and am only present here as dad told me to come here.

Suhana: Raghav, but I am there na. We will rock the play this time.

Raghav: Really? You even know who what is the play about? Have you acted before in any play?

Suhana: No, but you can teach me. I am sure that you will guide me and we will look great like a couple. (Suhana holds Raghav's hand again)

Raghav: What Couple? Are you OK? Leave my hand first and I am not here to teach anyone anything.

Prem: Raghav, Suhana is my sister and behave well with her. You cannot talk rudely.

Vikram comes in and sees the children arguing with each other and tells Raghav to take part in the play and Suhana to be Radha as this time Kalpana won't participate. Raghav asks him for the reason but Vikram does not tell him.

Note: I am writing this part as per one reader's suggestion and am not sure of how the actual celebration is done and so I am using my imagination here. Please ignore the bloopers if any.

Earlier this morning, Kalpana notices a pain in her tummy and goes to Sunaina's room telling her problem as she gets scared that something is wrong with her. Sunaina laughs and tells her not to worry as every girl faces this when she matures. It is a part of getting transformed from a girl into a woman and this is God's gift only given to a woman and she is only capable to reproduce. Sunaina tells her that every woman of the village celebrates this stage of their life and so today, she will organize the function for Kalpana as well. Sunaina informs Vikram about the function as well. Sunaina calls woman from the village for this small function and starts the preparation.

As Kalpana does not have any relatives, Sunaina calls her parents from the nearby village to take place of Kalpana's uncle and aunty.

The whole day Raghav tries to talk to Kalpana while Sunaina says that today he cannot meet her today as she is busy.

In the evening the function begins and Raghav notices that Kalpana is wearing a beautiful green saree with a yellow border and is looking very pretty. He call out her name but she does not listen. He notices that she is wearing the same payal he had gifted her for her previous birthday and smiles. He takes out her photographs from a distance and then watches Sunaina and other ladies taking her to the terrace of his house. He follows them up and watches the customs and rituals being followed but does not understand what is the meaning of the rituals. The parents of Sunaina gift Kalpana a saree and all the woman bless Kalpana.

Raghav keeps taking photographs of this event and then leaves from there. He goes and sits outside his house browsing the photographs when Prem and few boys who are drunk watch him looking at her photographs. They realize the meaning of that function and Prem taunts Raghav saying "Look at him. Majnu looking at his wife's photograph as finally she has become a matured woman." All the boys start laughing at Raghav.

Raghav just walks away and Prem keeps the beer bottle he was holding in his hand down and stops him saying "Where are you going Raghav? Today let Kalpana remain alone. Today only you want to claim her." And he starts laughing.

Raghav: What do you mean Prem?

Prem: Oh don't behave so innocent Raghav. You don't know what are we saying?

Raghav: No, I don't know and am neither interested in knowing and better don't make fun of Kalpana.

Prem: I won't make fun of Kalpana, Raghav as now you too will be having fun and will have your own babies soon.

Raghav: What the hell? Just shut up and let me go else I don't want to start fighting now.

Prem: Oh, look at this boy friends. He does not even know anything. Raghav, Kalpana is become a mature woman today and now she can give birth to babies as well just like other woman of the village and just the way your Sunaina bhabi was expecting a baby but alas, before that only she had a miscarriage.

Raghav: Don't dare talk about my bhabi and make fun of her. Take her name with respect.

Prem: Respect? For that widow? She is a curse and a bad omen for your family. The moment she entered your house, all bad things started. Your fathers business went in loss, your brother died in an accident, your brother's child dad and what more proof do you need. I am feeling that she is still staying in your house as she wants to have an affair with your father.

Raghav slaps Prem and catches his shoulder saying: How dare you talk about my dad and my bhabi with such disrespect?

The other boys hold Raghav hands and Raghav kicks Prem who is standing in front of him and he then pushes the boys.

Prem says: Because I said the truth, your blood is boiling. You cannot bear that your bhabi is cheap and is a ****

Raghav is unable to bear what Prem called his bhabi and takes the beer bottle from the floor and breaks it on Prem's head. Blood starts flowing from Prem's forehead and the other boys run away from them as they fear Raghav's anger will harm them as well. Prem falls on the ground and Raghav leaves him there as he gets scared of the consequences and takes his bike and drives off.

The village people see Prem lying in a pool of blood outside Singhania house and call Vikram and they take him to the nearby hospital. Pramod comes to the hospital and inquires the person who hurt his son and the villagers go and find Prem's friends.

After about 45 minutes, the villagers bring Prem's friends to the hospital and the boys tell Vikram about Raghav and their fight. Vikram gets a shock to hear that Raghav is now getting violent.

Vikram takes out his car and goes in search of Raghav and does not find him anywhere in the village. One villager comes and tells him that he has seen Raghav in the beer bar outside the village.

Vikram goes to the bar and notices Raghav sitting near a table with his head lying on it and is completely drunk. He had few stains of blood on his shirt. Vikram thinks that what Raghav has done this time is not a small thing and is a crime and so he calls up the police station and hands over Raghav to them.
