The family soon started facing hardships as there was very less grocery items in the house.

On day, Vikram came home and sat on the chair, covering his face and was unable to speak to Gauri.

"What happened? Everything's OK? Anything happened in the school? Vikram, please tell something. What happened?" Gauri asked with a concern and Vikram handed over a paper.

Gauri read it and was astonished to see that it was his termination letter. Gauri held Vikram's hand and said "They dismissed you from the job? But why?"

Vikram started crying loudly...

FLASHBACK STARTS...

When the class got over, Vikram noticed Sahil Kapoor and Prem Kapoor entering the Principal's cabin.

He had a doubt as Sahil being the trustee of the school, had never come before and today suddenly he and his son came visited the school was appearing strange to him. The principal as well was looking very tensed as he welcomed them inside.

After 30 minutes, Vikram was called inside the cabin by the peon.

He was very nervous and he noticed Sahil's and Prem's gaze on him and a hidden smile on their faces.

He was concerned if there is any bad news about the school and me.

His doubt turned true when the principal came to him and said "Vikram, you have been a very honest master of our school and in these 30 years of service, you have given your 100% dedication to your work and we are all proud of you. But however, the trustees have decided to hire younger staff. Hence, we have decided to....We have decided to terminate your contract with the school."

The principal gave him a letter stating that it was his last day in the school. Vikram was shattered completely as this job was not only his work but he considered it as his duty towards mankind and the books were a blessing for him while the school was like a temple where he used to share his knowledge with his students.

Vikram does not say a word and walks out of the cabin. He goes towards the locker room and takes out all his files, books and other stuff and leaves the room when he notices 3 children standing in front of him with their heads down.

"What happened? Why are you all looking so sad?" Vikram said while one girl looked up and said with tears in her eyes "Sir, you are leaving this school?"

Vikram went down on his knees and cupped the girl's face saying "Tina, I am leaving the school as now I've become quite old. Next week younger teachers will be employed here and I'm sure it is for the benefit of you children only."

The girl and her friends all hug Vikram and say "Sir, we'll miss you a lot. You have been the best teacher and there can never be a better teacher than you." Vikram removed his spectacles and wiped his tears and left the school with his bag.

The girl and her friends waved bye to Vikram and while going back, Prem dashed into Tina because of which his mobile broke. "What the hell..." Prem snapped.

"I'm so sorry." Tina apologized by lowering her eyes.

"Do you even know how expensive this mobile is? It's an imported brand worth Rs. 15 lacs. Even if you and your family sell themselves, they will not be able to buy this mobile." Sahil noticed Prem scolding the children and said "Prem, let's go. We have to do a more important job than this."

Prem left while Tina started grumbling about Prem's behavior and her friend made fun of him saying "A 15 lacs phone just broke in a second after falling to the ground? My Rs. 3000 worth phone has fallen several times till now and does not even have a scratch." The all laughed and went to their class to study.

Vikram cried and said "Gauri. I have lost my job. Now what will happen to us? Raghav is without a job and now I...I don't know Gauri, how will we manage?"

Raghav heard their conversation from outside the house and felt bad that he wasn't able to contribute anything in spite of having an Engineering degree.

Kalpana tried calling Raghav from Delhi where she had gone to complete a course but Raghav kept the phone buzzing and dint have the courage to pick up her phone.

Being disheartened, Kalpana kept her phone aside and cried as it had been over a week that she had last spoken to Raghav. She started feeling neglected as Raghav was her support system and not being able to talk to him was a punishment for her as after they had proposed to each other, there was not one day where they never contacted or spoke to each other.
