RagNa SS: Anyone can fall in love anytime Chapter 5

Kalpana enters her classroom and the teacher tells her to stop at the door itself.

Miss Suman: Kalpana, this is the time to come to class? You are 20 minutes late already and this is the third time you are coming late to school while the first 2 times I excused you but now you need to be punished. Go outside the class and kneel down for an hour. After that you can come and attend the lecture.

All the kids start laughing at Kalpana and Kalpana gives them an angry look while the teachers bangs the desk with the duster telling all the kids to keep quite and study.

Kalpana goes outside and kneels down. She notices that Raghav too was made to kneel own outside his classroom which was 5 rooms away from Kalpana. She looked angrily at Raghav blaming him for her punishment.

The bell for the recess rings which indicates that it is lunch time. All the children from the classrooms run outside the class and Kalpana sits in a corner to avoid getting hurt while Raghav keeps searching for Kalpana if she too has left for lunch break.

A boy from another class room runs outside and dashes Kalpana and falls down on his face. Kalpana gets up and scolds the boy as he jammed her school uniform.

Kalpana: Prem, what the hell? You made my uniform dirty. You cannot see and walk?

(Prem is a village boy who is studying in the sixth standard and his dad is a part of the panchayat of the village and his father assists Vikram to take decisions for the well being of the village. His father, named Pramod, is a good person but is jealous of Vikram as he gets more importance by the village people and earns more than him. Prem is a rich brat and he does not like Raghav as his father always bad mouthed Vikram in front of his son.)

Prem: You just shut up Kalpana Jadhav. Because of you, I fell down and got hurt. You are worried of you dirty uniform. It was already dirty and my shoes just got it a little more dirty. You need to tell me sorry for this.

Kalpana: You fell down due to your foolishness. You running like a kid outside the classroom and fell down. It's not my mistake but you could not see and run. You have to tell me sorry for making my dress dirty and you are asking me for an apology. I am not scared of you and so you don't show me your attitude.

Prem: You little rat. I am your senior and you are telling me my mistake and calling me a fool. What will you do if I don't say sorry to you. Say?

Prem takes his bottle and pours the buttermilk on Kalpana's dress.

Prem: Take this. In any case I hate drinking buttermilk and was going to throw it in the dustbin. Now it has got it's real place.

Kalpana: How dare you throw this on my dress? I'll not leave you, you jerk. I'll kill you.

Kalpana pushes Prem and starts hitting his chest. Prem catches Kalpana's hand and pushes her and then both star fighting with each other. Kalpana starts pulling Prem's hair with anger and they both enter the classroom pushing each other and hitting each other. Prem sees a duster on the desk and takes it in his hand and is about to hit Kalpana on her head with the duster when Raghav comes and pushes Prem backwards.

Raghav: How dare you hit Kalpana? Just because she is a girl and you are a boy, you are showing that you are stronger to her?

Prem: Why are you interfering Raghav? Kalpana cannot fight her own battle? She started all this fight and made me fall down because of which I got hurt.

Kalpana: I started this fight? You started it Prem. You jammed my uniform and then threw that buttermilk on my dress. I'll kill you for this.

Raghav: Just stop it Kalpana. I'll deal with this brat.

Prem: You never liked Kalpana, Raghav and today all of a sudden so much concern for her. Oh so you are doing this to save your so called wife haan. But today you too cannot save this rat.

Kalpana: What? Wife and me? What's the meaning of that? Raghav you just leave and let me handle this jerk Prem. I'll show you today who is a rat and who is not.

Raghav: What can you do to her Prem? I won't let you touch her also and Kalpana you just go outside the class. Let me handle Prem.

Prem: You are trying to be Kalpana's savior just because of that fake marriage? She is not worth it but is jsut a girl who used to live in a gutter.

Kalpana: Just shut up Prem and I don't come from a gutter. It was a small house and dare if you say anything against me. I won't leave you for this. And what is this marriage you are talking about? What is marriage and what wife?

Prem: You both got married few days back and now you are asking me what marriage? Those rituals you performed around the fire were not for time pass but you both got married just the way other children of this village are married. Child marriage it's called and not actually a marriage. My father told me that your father begged of Raghav's father to get you both married as he was going to die. Your dad could not even afford his hospital charges and Raghav's dad paid those expenses just like Vikram uncle gives charity to all those beggars of the village.

Raghav: Stop it Prem and just get the hell out of her before I do something to you.

Kalpana hears this and looks at Raghav asking him if Prem is telling the truth.

Raghav: Kalpana, you believe this brat. He is just telling you half the truth. Don't trust him.

Kalpana: Half the truth? That means we got married that day? What's marriage and what is the meaning of that? I cannot get what is happening. What marriage and what wife? My dad did not tell me anything. I will go and ask Sunaina bhabhi everything.

Kalpana leaves from there.

Kalpana goes inside the kitchen where Sunaina is cooking food and she hugs Sunaina from behind and takes her to the room and tells her everything what Prem told her.

Sunaina: Kalpu doll, now you are too small to understand the concept of marriage. It's true that you and Raghav got married but this is just a ritual as it was your father's wish to see you as a bride. You don't have to be afraid of any fact as we are always with you and you are free to do anything you wish. For me you are like my child (like my little sister) and Vikram dad is your father. We only want you and Raghav to be happy forever and choose the best for your life and if possible, I want you and Raghav to be friends at least.

Kalpi: Ok, I trust you bhabi. But I don't like Raghav and don't want him as a friend. He is very rude and always scolds me even when it's not my mistake. If I try talking to him nicely also, he makes faces at me. I hate him.

Sunaina: Oh Kalpu. Don't hate him. He is not bad but he has become rude due to circumstances. I know today you may not understand him but soon when you become big you will.

Kalpi: No. I don't want to become big. I want to always be your small doll only where you will tell me fairy tales and I will lie down and listen to them.

Kalpi lies down in Sunaina's lap and falls asleep and after some while Sunaina goes outside the room and sees Raghav standing outside. Sunaina tells Raghav that Kalpana is fine and now she is sleeping. Raghav feels happy hearing that.

After few months, celebrations for Diwali start and all the village people gather to celebrate the occasion and light crackers.

Vikram brings crackers for Kalpana and Raghav but Raghav as usual is not interested in the festival and its celebrations but joins the celebration as Vikram tells him to do so.

Kalpana rushes and picks many crackers which includes bombs as well and runs outside to light them. Raghav watches her and goes to stop her from lighting them.

Raghav: Kalpana, you are not supposed to light these bombs. Just give them to me.

Kalpana: Raghav, please leave from here. Vikram uncle bought these crackers for me. I am big enough to light them.

Raghav: Big enough? You are just 8 years and lighting crackers which even grown ups get scared to light. Give them to me just now.

Kalpana: Who are you to stop me? Vikram uncle did not tell me anything. You just go away.

Raghav: Wait. I'll call dad over here and tell him about you lighting bombs.

Kalpana: Go and do what ever you want. Till then I will light these crackers as well.

Raghav tries to grab the crackers from Kalpana's hand and all the crackers fall to the ground. Before Kalpana manages to pick the bombs, Raghav takes them away and keeps them back in the box. Kalpana gets angry with Raghav for this but keeps quite.

Kalpana starts lighting whatever crackers she has with her. Vikram and Sunaina join her lighting crackers while Raghav stands in a corner just observing the celebration as he does not like crackers and the noise.

Kalpana goes inside the house to eat some sweets and sees Raghav from the window standing in a corner and lost in his own dreams. She thinks of teaching him a lesson for not letting her light those bombs. She picks up the fire crackers and approaches Raghav. She quietly stands behind him and ties the firecrackers to the laces of his show. She then lights the crackers and Raghav gets a start and starts jumping and running around and then tries to free his shoe laces from the string and falls on the ground. Kalpana keeps laughing looking at Raghav's dance and all the villagers too start laughing. Raghav feels embarrassed and looks angrily at Kalpana knowing that it was her prank.

Kalpana runs away and Raghav rushes behind her to teach her a lesson. Kalpana rushes inside the house and Raghav keeps chasing her and Kalpana runs and reaches a place where all diyas have been kept. Raghav slips and is about to fall on the diya but Kalpana holds his shirt and pulls him back and falls down with her hand on the diya. Her hand gets burned and Raghav kneels down and takes Kalpana hand in his hand and tries to sooth her pain and giving it relief while Kalpana keeps crying.

Precap: Raghav extends a hand of friendship towards Kalpana.
